| Drax Power | Drax - biomass units | Biomass (wood pellets; sunflower/oat husk pellets) | Bioenergy | 2640.0 | 2013 | Yorkshire and Humber |
| Drax Power | Drax - coal units | Coal | Conventional steam | 1320.0 | 1974 | Yorkshire and Humber |
Dad what is “Bioenergy” and how does it differ from “Conventional Steam”? Do they have animals on small treadmill generator wheels that eat the husks?

Just to add that we're probably a little less dependent on the French interconnector than we used to be - since we now have a 1GW one to Holland (BritNed), a 1GW to Belgium (Nemo) and a 1.4GW on to Norway (NSL) (although that one seems to be limited to half power at the moment).
