    The mesh or netting if actually installed at tower block roof level, would appear to have a mesh size of several meters. (by comparison of number of meshes with estimated building dimensions)

    Absolutely not broadgage. Genuine photo taken by my daughter. I have no idea what the covering is for despite the title of my post.

  • An Architect who is a devotee of modern art? A cosmic ray enhancer?

  • It may be sculptural, or possibly to provide a measure of shade.

  • In the initial photograph, it looked like flexible fishing net or bird control netting, out of proportion to the building dimensions, hence my suspicions re photoshoping.

    However we now have a statement that it is NOT photoshopped, AND a more detailed view.

    This looks like a rigid structure not netting. Perhaps to reduce solar gain and save energy on air conditioning ?  possibly also for rainwater capture ?

     

    Or for government mind control rays ?

  • Looks a bit like the street canopy at Bristol Cabot Circus… so rain cover for pedestrians between the buildings?
