Total kVA of the following supply.

Hi all,

A customer showed me this in his commercial building and wanted to know how much juice he can pull.

What would be the total kVA if all 9 of the fuse carriers contained 80A fuses?

    More than that incomer below can withstand for anything more than a very short duration I suspect. (so what is the size and cable type of that? best to know to avoid a fire)

    Just because each phase is split in to 3 fuse holders does not mean that all three on each phase can be fully loaded at the same time !!

    Where is the supply to this box coming from and where is the metering ? - the rating at the meters may well be less than either.

    Ha! I knew this was a can of worms.


    The supply cable comes directly from the street via a basement.

    Metering is directly from the meter tails in the image, some single phase meters and a 3 phase meter.

    (I have photos but cant seem to insert them in this reply?)
