3 phase domestic supply

Hi - recently had a 3-phase supply installed at our property, and looking at installing a 3-phase TPN distribution board. As this is a domestic installation, I'm looking at how best to accommodate the requirement of installing 30ma RCD protection on out going circuits (lighting/sockets - single phase circuits I assume install RCBO's). A 3-phase EV charging point, will that require RCD protection? Or is RCD requirements limited to socket outlet circuits and lighting only? thanks in advance.

  • The choice is between having an RCD incomer (main switch) and RCBOs. TPN ones tend to be rather expensive. Whether you will need one for the EVCP depends upon what is in the box and the route that the circuit will take.
