  • With a single energy meter you can not measure the energy used by multiple individual consumers.

Subject to any local regulations that prohibit this, you can use a single energy meter to measure the TOTAL energy used by multiple consumers.

Connect the supply from the energy meter into a suitable fuse box, fit a main fuse of a size not exceeding the capacity of the meter, or the supply into the meter.

Fit smaller fuses, one for each consumer,  An RCD or GFCI for each consumer may be required and is good practice even if not specifically required. This equipment must either be reliably weatherproof, or be placed in a small hut or shelter.

If the total capacity of the fuses for each consumer exceeds the capacity of the main fuse, then this might be acceptable if all consumers dont use the maximum at the same time.

Follow whatever regulations are applicable in your locality. In the absence of any such regulations follow accepted good practice regarding cable sizes etc.

Best of luck in dividing the bill among multiple consumers.
