  • the fence runs past the pillar (not in shot). Taking a loop impedance between pillar line and fence gives 0.9ohms and between electrode and fence 19 ohms. My view is that it definitely needs Open protection, although risk is likely low.

  • This is the main reason why I don't think TT is the correct solution, because even if separation is in place, it's not always in place (because of situations like this). And if weather/soil conditions change, it might as well just be PME.
