Solic 200

I have been asked to change a Solic 200 that diverts solar P.V. electricity to an immersion heater, as far as I know. Has anyone any experience of these beats and can advise me of any difficulties. I believe that the customer has one installed already but claims that the installer has damaged a control button.

The Solic 200 is not difficult to connect, BUT it has a small tactile P.C.B. push switch mounted onto the circuit board which is positioned at the back of the enclosure. To reach this, a long plastic push rod is supplied. This push rod has a button that slightly protrudes through a hole on the front cover. The previous installed had managed to damage the tactile P.C.B. switch during installation and had glued it back together. The switch provides a boost from the mains for 90 minutes for the immersion heater. The push rod does not initially line up with the front cover hole and care has to be taken when fitting the front cover, as leverage onto the P.C.B. push switch may damage it.
