Electrical Qualifications

Folks,

Our department are  currently recruiting for an electrical supervisor and have strict criteria that the person should be / have

  • A recognised and registered CITB or BITB apprenticeship

OR

  • An approved Company Apprenticeship

Plus

  • Applicants must possess a BTEC National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. (Equal or equivalent formal qualifications in electrical/electronic discipline considered)

Plus

  • 4 years post apprenticeship experience, 3 years of which must have been spent on the maintenance on complex electrical engineering systems

We have a good candidate that meets the approved Company apprenticeship & has the 4 years’ experience but the panel have questioned that are the qualifications below a match for a BTEC National certificate or a ONC. I’m leaning that he does (but I may be biased) but one other panel member does not.

Would appreciate some feedback guys
