What, in your opinion, is the purpose of the nut pointed to below?
Agree with it being a locknut, and it does help with vibration etc.
But i thought that its main function was to deter anyone from actually removing the clamp. Once tightened sufficiently, a screwdriver alone is not able to undo the bolt, pliers or the like are also needed.
