Wrong sized glands in electrical distribution cables

I have been to a site where the contractor has used the oversized glands (the next size up) when terminating single core armoured cables into distribution boards. How much of a concern would this be to you?

  • As long as they have gripped the cable properly then no issue. If they were BW glands you wouldn't even have mentioned it I expect. Only an issue if you need the waterproofing of the outer CW ring, which as you way its indoors , I can't see it being an issue
