What is it and where does it go?

Recently our built in, under the worktop fridge failed and was replaced under extended warranty with a matching Neff K4316XFF0G. During unpacking a moulded plastic "thing" fell on the floor. The only id on it is a recycling symbol!

Not mentioned or shown in the installation instructions.  Our only thoughts are that it was packing for the attached 13A plug, but seems over engineered for a single use plastic item?

What do you think?

  • The pic on the right looks like a cord grip to me. Was it holding the cable in a neat coil during transit?

  • Yes, it certainly looks like a cord grip, also a standard 13A plug can be accommodated using the slots and I think a Euro Schuko plug. But whilst it is likely for that purpose, there was no plug in it and it simply fell on the floor when the delivery guys lifted the cardboard box off the internal packaging. Certainly over engineered.
