What is it and where does it go?

Recently our built in, under the worktop fridge failed and was replaced under extended warranty with a matching Neff K4316XFF0G. During unpacking a moulded plastic "thing" fell on the floor. The only id on it is a recycling symbol!

Not mentioned or shown in the installation instructions.  Our only thoughts are that it was packing for the attached 13A plug, but seems over engineered for a single use plastic item?

    It's a thingy that goes over the  vent hole at the back to stop muck but allow water to trickle out to a little  plastic bucket on on top of the motor
