What is it and where does it go?

Recently our built in, under the worktop fridge failed and was replaced under extended warranty with a matching Neff K4316XFF0G. During unpacking a moulded plastic "thing" fell on the floor. The only id on it is a recycling symbol!

Not mentioned or shown in the installation instructions.  Our only thoughts are that it was packing for the attached 13A plug, but seems over engineered for a single use plastic item?

What do you think?

  • I’ve literally just installed a Bosch integrated fridge and freezer. They had very similar things and yes they were just packaging for the plug in transit. Both in the bin now!!

  • Cheers!

Were your two attached to anything, or were the two plugs actually inserted?  Mine just fell on the floor when the driver and his mate lifted off the cardboard!

I'm sure a normal three pin plastic cover and a twist grip to secure the cable to the casing would be cheaper and less single use plastic.
