Outdoor lighting control

Hi all,

I have 8x downlights in the soffit above my porch and garage currently operated by a PIR.

I would like to change the way they are switched on and off but I'm not sure of the best way to achieve what I want, or if it's possible at a reasonable cost.

I would ideally like the lights to switch on in the evening by a timer but only to 50% brightness, and then gradually increase to 100% when motion is detected for a couple of minutes before dimming back to half brightness.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

  • I had a cheap lantern style outside light from SF that came on half power at dusk and full power if movement detected so it's out there. I'd follow Chris' advice and chat to Uncle G.
