Electrical Work for D.I.Yers.

So friends this week we are looking at home electrics. So just what is going on here friends?

  • If I get the answer correct, please may I have a lolly?

  • Former 'cooker' circuit, wired in 6.00mm2 on 32A MCB, now repurposed to feed kitchen ring final as a 'lollipop' circuit?

  • You'll get detention if you are cheeky again Christopher. Now stop fidgeting and put that away.

  • A very, very good effort Adrian. Almost correct I am sorry to say, but you are definitely on the right track. A silver star for you.

  • 6mm t&e extended with 2x 2.5mm t&e in parallel?

  • or perhaps the inverse lollipop and an oversized "32A spur" from a ring, perhaps to supply an out building or a single heavy load.

  • A.W. is still closest at this stage.

  • Is it 6.0 or 4.0 ?

Actually it could be stranded 2.5 equiv, Norm will have equivs in his head from years back

  • Well, after a sleepless night I must agree that Adrian must be declared the winner. He was mostly correct and very fast in answering. The lollipop arrangement was indeed in a kitchen and was connected to a redundant electric shower circuit.

Thanks Adrian. Please collect your prize from matron.

  • All, please see above as Adrian has won the prize.
