Dual-tariff voltage operated earth leakage circuit breaker.

Not the clearest of photos, a dual-tariff TT earthed installation with two fuse boards, one for each tariff installed over forty years ago.

The lives for the fuse boards both run through the VOELCB with the 24/7 live running through the right hand side and the off-peak live through the left hand side, the neutrals go straight back from the fuse boards to the Henly block and meters.

I suppose it will work as the original installer intended?

  • I don't know why, but I thought they were early 500ma current operated ones with the black ones voltage operated. But then 2 terminals for frame connection and separate earth must prove me wrong.
