OCPD's

Can a BS88 service head fuse be used as a OCPD on a piece of 16mm T&E submain in a domestic property?

  • Yes, but  what value fuse is  fitted?  Who has the authority to change it? Is that cable routed in a way that will not require RCD protection?

A BS88 fuse of 60A or less in a customer owned box with an RCD beside it is fine and dandy, A length of TnE rammed into henly blocks under the meter protected only by company fuse of uncertain rating is less satisfactory.
