Draft for Public Comment - Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, 5th Edition

The Codes and Guidance team are happy to share that the Draft for Public Comment for Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, 5th Edition is now live!

The draft for public comment stage of the development process is your opportunity to contribute to the development of a standard. Every comment submitted by you gets vetted by the technical author and the working group, so rest assured we will take them into consideration.

This new edition features updates to fully align with BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 and ENA Engineering Recommendation G12/4. It also reflects legislative changes made to Smart Charging Regulations 2021 and the Building Regulations 2022. Telecommunications and auxiliary cabling also get new guidance, along with both new and revised appendices.

We really look forward to hearing from you!

  • Be careful what you say Simon! or else the publication may just creep up to a round 250 pages!!
