Is a Walsall Gauge socket outlet designed to a British standard?

Question

Hi, I recently got asked if a Walsall Gauge socket outlet is designed to British standard. A socket was highlighted on an EICR and the question was around if this would be an observation under regulation 133.1.

Presumably it's a choice driven by the need to restrict usage of the socket for some practical reason (distinguish the function of the circuit) - which would be in accordance to 553.1.5 (iii) and allowed by 133.1.2.
