Thanks Sparkingchip, I never looked up the local authority conditions, which of course Duty Holder needs to comply with. Interesting the license conditions refer to BS7671: 2001 and PIR's. 

I would hope that the admin side does then submit copies of reports within that timescale, but advice of the competant inspector and age of installation and condition and any non compliance/observations are classed appropriately and next recommended interval to inspection is no greater than three years, but could be less depending on what the inspection reveals.

But that document certainly clarifies things as far as local authority goes,
