Cable current Sharing

Hi, 

Iam doing a cable calculation for an installation. The client has an installation with  8 per phase  1Core 300sqmm cable. The installation method is quadrafoil (quad cleats). As per below. I cannot find any similar installation method neither in wiring reg or guidance note 6 to know the current sharing. can somebody help me.

  • Assuming these are electrically in parallel and not just physically adjacent circuits on a ladder, then Appx 10 of BS7671 is a start, though GN6 ch2.10 adds some concrete scenarios including notes re phase “rotation” (ie arranging cores to minimise induction causing mismatch larger than otherwise would have been expected).

    However for a more detailed analysis you need to go back to BS/IEC 60287-3-1, or use software that can.
