AMD 4 TO BS 7671 DPC

I am hearing from my network that the DPC for AMD 4 went on line this morning and is available on the BSI website.

JP fires starting gun for a very long thread?

JP

  • go to the BSI site. Create an account - you will need your Email. login to BSI site with new account. Search for BS7671.

Don't use IET website at all for accessing drafts of BSI website stuff -the links age too soon to be useful.

    Mike.

  • Thanks for the pointer. I must be a complete luddite. Have created an account, logged in but still nothing. Am I supposed to be on BSI connect?

  • Aha, Standards Development Portal, got it. Thanks

  • are you in OK or do you need a bit more talk-in. Its really not very intuitive.

    Mike.

  • Frustrated Luddite myself!

    Any assistance appreciated!

  • Crazy! Dont search for BS7671 or you get the page in the photo above. Search for 7671.

  • 'Computer says no' because there's strictly a space before '7671', so by some strange twist of computer logic, you are only receiving search results when the entry on the site omitted the space ('got it wrong')?

Searching for '7671' is the best option.

  • or try for JPLE/64 which gets the longer list and more.  I guess it is BS space 7671 that trips it. Not the finest search function. Again a few words of help above the search bar would, well, help...

    Mike.

  • Search for 7671.

Brilliant, thank you. Though why "invite" public comment when you need a Phd to access the thing is beyond me. Also as it's one amendment, i.e. Amendment 4 why is it in four pieces?

Ours is not to reason why but I was going to forward a link so my team can view and comment as part of some CPD, but they are sparkies not SEO expertsJoy

  • We request all commenters read and review the PDF supporting documents “BS 7671+Amendment 4_Part1” and “BS 7671+Amendment 4_Part2” in the first instance, which have the correct layout and formatting and are easy the navigate, and then leave any technical comments on the relevant draft parts (1 – 4) on the Standards Development Portal. These comments will be collated and reviewed at the end of the commenting period.

    Obviously !
