Hi guys , in a refurb property and the client wants to put a fuseboard fairly near a log burner. The board will be in a cupboard, on wood flooring clad walls.
Are there any specific distances I need to be aware of ?

Not in terms of wiring regs, you won't see 'log burner' in any specific wiring reg, apart from the bit about the considering the local environment, mainly in this case temperature and perhaps ease of access.
But, I'd be remembering that heat rises, so the space nearer the ceiling may be unusually hot, affecting cable routes, grouping factors and ratings may be more important than normal, and any surfaces facing the thing and so heated by direct radiation may get surprisingly warm.
As far as possible route cables away from it, or if they absolutely must go behind it then at low level, and behind some sort of heat shield.
MCBs trip early when warm - after all the slow blow mechanism is thermal inside, so circuits should not be designed to be running too near the limits - you'd not do that anyway I'm sure ;-) It is not the moment for a 10KW shower on 32A... Maybe the cupboard or its door would benefit from a ventilation gap or grill.
Probably no worse than breakers in a kitchen or plant room and there are plenty of examples of those.
