BS 7671 : 2018 + A4 : 2026

About ten minutes ago, I got an e-mail notification from the IET Shop that 'The Big Orange Book' has been dispatched and is on its way to me . . . Slight smile

  • So UPS just delivered my updated BS7671 publication. Despite ordering it in advance months ago, and notification earlier this week its on its way. Its taken that wee bit longer to make its way up north to Loch Lomond side!! frustrating others on the forum had delivery far earlier.

Then again, given it was a Electric vehicle van that delivered it and not a ICE one, I just put it down to the number of times the van had to stop and charge to get all the way here.

    Anyway it certainly is Orange.

    Cheers GTB

  • So UPS just delivered my updated BS7671 publication.

The brown van arrived here on the very sunny south coast just before lunch.

I agree rather disappointing. Did others get them from 3rd party vendors more quickly?

    Anyway it certainly is Orange.

The Dutch would love it. :-)

I am surprised how much GN3 has expanded.

  • I am surprised how much GN3 has expanded.

There are fewer pages than the 2022 9th Edition (197 in 2022, 189 in 2026).

The guidance on the forms that is in Appendix 6 of BS 7671 has not been duplicated in GN3 (because it doesn't really add anything), although the guidance remains for the Generic Schedules of Circuit Details and Test Results, as this is  not in BS 7671.
