AMD 4 - BS 3036 chart Fig 3A2(b)

Looks like the graph as been re-drawn - but the axis labels don't seem to match the grid lines any more (e.g. the 100 tick mark aligns with somewhere 70 and 80 grid lines, as I read it anyway). Reading log scales is difficult enough anyway, but this makes it almost impossible (not that I try to read them that often, but nevertheless it should be doable). Or it might be the tick marks are in the right place and the grids have shifted?

Is this an error?

  • I think that it must be. Fig. 3A2(a) is also a bit wonky. The problem seems to be that the scale of the minor gridlines has been stretched. In the brown book, a 45 A fuse will blow at 100 A after 10 000 seconds. The curve and axes remain aligned at the same values in BOB. So it is the faint lines which are wrong.
