Protected corridor lighting cabling compliance

Hi - I'm currently working on a residential project that has a protected corridor. I'm happy with how to deal with the general wiring and compliance, however I have been asked the question regarding the cabling between the luminaire and the driver. How to make this compliant, has anyone else had this issue. Section 422.2 clearly addresses the supply cable requirements but I can't find anything relating to the driver cables. Help most appreciated.

  • Are you working from AMD 4? That section has undergone some significant changes (more emphasis on firefighting shafts and protected stairways, less on corridors) as well as changes to the exact requirements.

Are the cables supplied as part of the "kit" - or are they expected to be wired together on site using whatever cable the electrician thinks suitable? If the latter it's likely not to be covered by the equipment standard so BS 7671 would apply I would have thought.
