Protected corridor lighting cabling compliance

Hi - I'm currently working on a residential project that has a protected corridor. I'm happy with how to deal with the general wiring and compliance, however I have been asked the question regarding the cabling between the luminaire and the driver. How to make this compliant, has anyone else had this issue. Section 422.2 clearly addresses the supply cable requirements but I can't find anything relating to the driver cables. Help most appreciated.

Why is there a seperate driver and a connecting cable between the driver and luminaire?

Many commercial light fittings have a separate driver which can be around 600mm from the luminaire incoming cable.

See here for one example, which has a short connecting lead, I've been fitting a lot recently, most had longer leads, I presume to allow the driver to sit on an adjacent ceiling tile, or attached to the wall/ceiling: 600mm ceiling light
