Certificates relevant to domestic EV Charging Point

When we had our EV Charging Point fitted in 2021, the installer provide me with an Electrical Installation Certificate for the work he completed.

The tenant of a property that my wife owns and lets out requested permission for their employer to arrange for a EV Charging Point to be fitted at their expense. However, the  Certificate they issued is an NICEIC Building Regulations Certificate of Compliance, which has a Description of Notifiable Work as "E2 - Install one or more new circuits."  There are no test figures and no mention of it being for an EV Charging Point.

Does this seem correct?

Also, on a similar subject, should an EV Charging Point fail and be replaced under warranty with the same or similar unit, should a certificate be issued?  I am thinking of a Minor Works Certificate (MEIWC).

    Certainly getting there.  Obtained the EIC today, the DNO were notified pre installation of the EV Charging Point and they arranged their contractor to upgrade the Cut Out. 

    There is not a lot regarding Load Assessment, but I understand that the Charging Point has load limiting to keep the total current draw below the Cut Out fuse rating.

    I know that prior to all this, that when present when the meter was replaced with a smart meter that the fuse was a ruptured 60A  with a steel paper clip in parallel.  Strange that the Cut Out was sealed until it was opened up.  The meter fitter kindly replaced the fuse with a 63A one.

    I will now contact the DNO Scottish Power to find out what fuse was fitted in the new Cut Out.

    Surely the new cut out fuse rating will be stated in the EIC. How else could they limit the load in relation to it if unknown.

    Not saying you shouldn't ask the DNO what they fitted, but the installers should have done this already.
