Certificates relevant to domestic EV Charging Point

When we had our EV Charging Point fitted in 2021, the installer provide me with an Electrical Installation Certificate for the work he completed.

The tenant of a property that my wife owns and lets out requested permission for their employer to arrange for a EV Charging Point to be fitted at their expense. However, the  Certificate they issued is an NICEIC Building Regulations Certificate of Compliance, which has a Description of Notifiable Work as "E2 - Install one or more new circuits."  There are no test figures and no mention of it being for an EV Charging Point.

Does this seem correct?

Also, on a similar subject, should an EV Charging Point fail and be replaced under warranty with the same or similar unit, should a certificate be issued?  I am thinking of a Minor Works Certificate (MEIWC).

    I think that notification under Part P is the only statutory obligation.

    132.16 requires that, "...the condition of any equipment, including that of the distributor, will be adequate for the altered circumstances." Difficult to see how that could be achieved without knowing the rating of the DNO's fuse and indeed, the service cable.
