The IET London Network is a vibrant and inclusive community of engineers, technologists, and innovators based in the capital. As part of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), we bring together professionals from across disciplines to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and inspire the next generation of engineers.
Our network hosts a wide range of events throughout the year, from technical talks and panel discussions to networking socials and outreach activities. Whether you're a student, early-career professional, or seasoned expert, you'll find opportunities to connect, learn, and contribute.
We’re proud to support the IET’s mission to engineer a better world by promoting excellence in engineering and technology. Through our local initiatives, we aim to make a meaningful impact both within the profession and in the wider community.
Join us to be part of a dynamic network that celebrates innovation, encourages lifelong learning, and champions the role of engineering in shaping the future.

They are designed to provide attendees with insights into the latest developments and trends in these fields.
These free to attend lectures usually take place over lunchtime, making it convenient for professionals to attend without disrupting their workday and are preceded by an optional lunch (£25) . It's a great opportunity to network with peers, learn from experts, and stay updated on industry advancements.
If you wish to have the optional lunch, you can pre-book it during the registration process. The cost for a two-course meal with wine is £25 (including VAT) and must be booked in advance.

Hammersmith
The Hammersmith section of the London Network holds regular monthly meetings at the West London Novotel Hotel Conference Centre in Hammersmith on the third Tuesday of each month except for July, August and December. The venue is conveniently situated near the Hammersmith Underground station.
The format of our events is a lecture of about 45 minutes duration starting at 7pm to be followed by a Q&A session and a networking session accompanied by sandwiches and coffee. The latter generally leads to enthusiastic debate about issues raised in the lecture and is a fantastic forum to meet people and develop your personal networks. We try to present a broad spectrum of topics that will not only be of interest to specialists in the field but also comprehensible to those wishing to broaden their understanding of engineering and technology. Through its industrial and academic contacts, the Hammersmith Committee have been successful in attracting exceptional speakers with deep knowledge of their subject making attendance at the events a truly worthwhile experience.
