Lancashire and Cumbria

The Lancashire and Cumbria Local Network is led by local volunteers who come together to organise lectures and technical visits that provide opportunities to learn and meet new people. All events are open to the public and most are free of charge.

The Local Network aims to raise awareness of science, engineering and technology in the local area, and promote membership of the IET.

Visit the events page filtered by Lancashire and Cumbria Local Network to find out about our upcoming events.

THE FORUM - BARROW-IN-FURNESS

Our regular venue in Barrow-in-Furness is The Forum and it is currently temporarily closed for refurbishment and to facilitate the removal of asbestos from the neighbouring Barrow Market Hall.  During this time, all the events scheduled for The Forum are re-located to Barrow-in-Furness Town Hall - just across the street!
