The network supports IET members north of the Firth of Tay, covering Inverness, Elgin, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, and the wider regions of the Western Isles, Shetland, Orkney, Caithness, and Sutherland.
Operating under the governance of a volunteer committee of IET members, the network coordinates activities across the region and works closely with educational institutions and industry partners.

As one of the IET’s regional networks across the UK, IET Scotland North plays an important role in delivering the Institution’s wider mission, providing a strong local platform for members to exchange expertise, maintain professional standards, and contribute to the advancement of engineering and technology for societal benefit.
We look forward to a year of collaboration, engagement, and building on the excellent work of previous committees. We are always looking for additional support covering our wide geographical area and speakers to help at in person events, please do reach out to us if you would like to help. All of our events will be advertised and promoted on the IET website.
