The IET interviewed 400 employers from a range of engineering and IT organisations across the UK and asked them about their recruitment plans and experiences. The results, published in the ninth annual IET Skills and Demand in Industry report, outline current and planned levels of engineering and IT recruitment, the difficulties that employers are experiencing in recruiting the people they need and the skills gaps they find with the people that they employ. The results have been compared to previous years to show recent trends.
