On 30 April 2014 - Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg yesterday announced the main elements of a £500 million package of measures to support the development and use of ultra low emission vehicles (ULEVs) from 2015 to 2020.
The measures have been designed to support the ultra low emission vehicle industry, as well as to help drivers afford and feel more confident in being able to use electric cars.
