5G: State Of Play

Last week over 100 delegates joined us at Savoy Place, London for this year’s TPN conference on 5G, which looked at the current state of play in the world of 5G.

 

We were fortunate to be joined by some exciting and prominent speakers, including:

Professor Mischa Dohler, from King’s College London, told the audience that he believes 5G will be the last ‘Generation’ and there will be no need for any future generations






Professor Andy Sutton from EE agreed with this assertion as he discussed architecture and design of 5G







Tony Sceales, fresh in his role in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, discussed why the government is interested in 5G







Philippe Thouvenin from CTO Thales AVS/ Microwave Sub-Systems spoke on why hardware is still important as the UK moves towards 5G
