We were fortunate to have two impressive keynote speakers at the event. In the morning we heard from Dr Souheil Ben Smida from the University of Bristol. He got the day off to a flying start with an engaging talk on RF power amplifier characterisation.

In the afternoon, we heard from George Goussetis. George works at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, where the number of RF staff has grown rapidly over the last few years leading to the university becoming the centre for RF tech in Scotland. The University was well represented at the event with 5 speakers/poster presenters; we have been to Heriot-Watt University before for the event – maybe we need to go there again?!

Our keynotes weren’t the only talks we had; we had a busy programme on the day and heard from a number of other speakers. A few highlights from the day include:

Gavin Watkins, one of our TPN members from Toshiba UK, was up next and continued the power amplifier theme

The MVP for the day was Maria Cañavate-Sánchez, who more than ably stepped in for her colleague who wasn’t able to attend, meaning she did back-to-back talks!
During the breaks we had a poster session and networking – it was great to see so many people discussing the posters with the presenters and making connections!

If you weren’t there on the day, you can catch up with the Twitter story here and more photos are available in the Photo section of the community.
Thanks to our exhibitors from National Instruments for joining us and thanks also to our speakers, presenters and all the delegates for coming along

We hope to run this event again – let us know in the comments what you would like to see next year!
