As we close 2025, we want to share the incredible work our volunteers have done across our Global Communities. These communities are the heart of our organization—groups of passionate engineers and technologists who come together to share knowledge, inspire innovation, and create opportunities for professional growth.
Our Global Communities include:
- Local Networks (LNs): Volunteer-led groups in regions around the world that organize events, workshops, and networking opportunities for engineers and technology professionals.
- Technical Networks (TNs): Specialist groups focused on advancing knowledge in key areas of engineering and technology, from AI and quantum engineering to antennas, power systems, and beyond. These networks are global, and because of that they are mainly online.
We are proud to have a presence across UK, South Asia, Asia Pacific and EMEA connecting professionals and students in person in more than 25 countries and with the help of our webinars run by Technical Networks we have reach more than 100 countries.

Transformation Workshops
This year, we also ran Transformation Workshops to shape the future of our networks and communities. All our volunteers had the opportunity to engange in the new operational model and we are expecting to communicate more about this in Q2 2026.
None of this would have been possible without our volunteers—the driving force behind everything we do and of course, without our Staff. Thank you for your time, energy, and commitment to advancing engineering and technology across the globe.
Here’s to an even more impactful 2026!
