The IET Trinidad & Tobago LN PATW Finals came to a conclusion on Saturday 23rd May with a round of seven fantastic presentations, culmunating in the winner, Ms. Tiffanie Bhagwandeen. She will be our representative at the IET PATW Americas Regional Finals, which will take place in Trinidad on the 25th July 2015.
Her presentation on Set-up Time Reduction was identified as the best amongst her peers, who each delivered an infomative and passionate display.

The Vice Chair of the YPS opened the event with insightful comments and remarks about the benefit of the IET, the YPS and the PATW and how we all continue to learn.

Chair of the IET Trinidad and Tobago Local Network, Eng. Anthony Chadee, formally welcomed the participants, judges, IET members and guests to the final leg of the local PATW competitions.

The Chair of the IET TT LN YPS, Greg Manohar, introduces the judges, providing the audience with a brief but poingnant overview of their accomplishments as engineers in industry as well as the various volunteering activities in which they are involved.

The first presenter, Julio Bissessar, chosen at random, provided an insightful overview into his project of the "Utilization of Waste CO2 stream from Combined Cycle Power Plant".
Julio provides an impactful conculsion to his presentation with the key benefits and the outcomes that can be achieved with the implementation of the proposed design.
The second presenter, Javed Mustapha, introduces his topic on redesign of the conching process in chocolate manufacturing, to enhance the productivity of the system.
Javed clearly noted that the prototype was instrumental in moving the Cocoa industry forward and that many key benefits are achievable.
Daniel Ringis presented on the use of Augmented Reality systems in sporting environments, as a means to increase spectator involvement.

Jameel Stephan Huggins illustrated the different effectiveness caused by various solar water heater designs.
Hannah Abdool demonstrated that the use of AI systems in identifying choices could potentially disrupt the food industry.
Shamar James provided insight into the requirements to design and build a solar powered aircraft.
Jameel noted the use of complex mathimatical equations and the aid of the Matlab software in the development of the required parameters for the aircraft.
The 2015 winner of the IET TT LN PATW Finals provided a clear justification for the use of set-up time reduction in improving efficiency and productivity of a manufacturing process.
Greg Monhar concludes the finalists presentations with an overview of the benefits of being an IET member, participating in YPS activities and encouraging the participants to become part of the largest engineering and technology body in the world.
Ahmad Mohammed, the Co-ordinator of the PATW and executive member of the IET TT LN, reiterartes the sentiments made by the Chairs of the LN and the YPS as well as the Vice Chair of the YPS, in terms of the benefit of being part of the Institution and taking part in the PATW events.
Brian James provides the judges' feedback to the participants and the audience members. This session was beneficial to the finalists as they were able to understand the rationale for the decisions as well as receive key suggestions that will aid them in the future.
