It is that time of year when we start to seek nominations for our Control & Automation PhD Award.   Do you know any students who deserve recognition for their achievement?   In its 6th year now, and developed by the IET’s Control & Automation Network, this free to enter award aims to recognise research excellence in the Control & Automation field at PhD level.

The award is open to all relevant PhD students who have submitted their dissertation for a PhD, or equivalent higher research degree, in the general area of Control and Automation, for examination at a UK university during the calendar year preceding the closing date for nominations

Winning the award will,  no doubt,  offer an invaluable credential to the winner’s CV who will also receive a £500 cash prize.  This year the award will be presented at our Tustin Lecture which will take place in November at the newly opened Savoy Place.  Exact date will be confirmed, but it is planned to be 24th – so watch this space!

Nominations are now open for the 2015 award and need to be submitted by 30th September.
Nomination form

All nominations will need to be supported by references from three individuals:

The candidate's principal research supervisor;
