I found this interesting article about the few times when film and TV has gotten hacking right. As the article explains, most of the time, realistic cybersecurity and hacking aren’t visually very exciting subjects, meaning they tend to change it to amp up the drama
The NCIS and CSI franchises get it hilariously wrong and as the article points out, films like War Game and shows like Mr Robot have got it right.
