This was a fascinating talk last night at the British Museum by Demis Hassabis about DeepMind's (now part of Google) research into AI and in particular machine learning, as well as aspects of neuroscience.  This included some pretty good evidence that rats dream and imagine the future.  More information can be found on the RTS website  https://rts.org.uk/article/deepminds-demis-hassabis-future-intelligent-machines and a recording of the event should be available online soon. This was a joint RTS/IET event, the first of these was held last year.
