A Single Value Chain
Asset owners, manufacturers and others interested in overcoming barriers to cross-sector collaboration in digital twins and information management are invited to participate in a series of ‘Hacks’ across the country, starting on 17th November at AMRC’s Factory 2050 in Sheffield.
Each of the Hacks will follow one of the four themes; the first one, The Value Hack will focus on aligning the value chain.
The way manufacturing and the built environment approach value is different, as we set out in the white paper. The intention of this first Hack is to identify use cases for data and information management across the sectors, in order to explore how blockages in value transfer can be overcome.

Why You Should Join Us
Participating in the Apollo Forum is an open collaborative affair which is why we are inviting attendance from right across our sectors. Taking part in the hacks with bring many benefits to participants:
- Share ideas and compare approaches with fellow professionals working in digital twins and information management.
- Identify opportunities to increase the value and longevity of your products.
- Explore how to use data to evaluate the use of products in the field in terms of function, performance, safety, and more.
- Explore how digital twins can be used to meet requirements for sustainability and how this translates into value in the supply chain.
- Demonstrate the value of data use in the built environment.
- Identify opportunities to develop partnerships, new initiatives and learn how to apply for InnovateUK funding for further work.
Who should attend
We welcome participation in the hacks from professionals who have identified or are interested in exploring solvable real-world problems associated with digital twins, data and information management including:
- Owners of public sector and government procured built environment programmes, including in infrastructure, government buildings, hospitals, schools, housing etc.
- Property managers in built assets in the private sector, including estate management professionals.
- Client-side Information managers and consultants working in the built environment with a responsibility for setting out information requirements.
- Digital delivery managers working in contractors responsible for information requirements.
- Technical managers/head of digital in construction product manufacturers who provide products into the field from which they have data requirements.
- Sustainability managers in manufacturing or the built environment who are responsible for assessing the carbon impact of products and/or who have cross sector data needs.
- Environmental assessment framework professionals with use cases for cross sector digital needs.
- CIO or head of information responsible for data, security working either in manufacturing or contractors.

Two Ways to Join the Value Hack
We recognise that there will be a high interest in attending the Apollo Forum hack events, and that not everyone will be able to travel to an in-person event. Each hack therefore takes place twice: a live in-person event, and an online open Zoom call a week later. The Open Call will mirror the in-person hack as closely as possible.
The Value Hack in Person: Sheffield
The in person Hack takes place at Factory 2050 Europa Avenue Sheffield S9 1ZA on Thursday 17th November 2022 from 9.30am – 4pm.
Numbers will be limited, and we will be managing the registration process, purely to ensure a good balance of participants. To submit and expression of interest to attend please use this form.
