We are happy to announce that the Draft for Public Comment  for IET Code of Practice for Electrical Safety Management 2nd edition has now gone live.

The CoP sets out the principles for effective electrical safety management and does not reference standards or legislation. It identifies the need for a management system, not the detail of how the activity should be done but does outline what might be expected in a successful management system.

This second edition has been updated to include considerations around the management of change, the implications of outsourcing work on the electrical equipment and installations, and an updated self-assessment tool to identify what systems exist and how effective they are in managing responsibilities.

We welcome review and comment from all interested parties. The DPC closes on Monday 25th July 2022.
