On 16th November after months of abstracts, draft papers, reviewing for the authors and the judges, the IET Railway Young Professional Early Career Professional Best Paper 2017 took place at IET London:  Savoy Place.

During the evening we heard from several young railway professionals who delivered their 10 minute presentation on a railway technical subject of their choice.  This offered the Young Professionals speakers the opportunity to showcase their presentation skills on a railway technical topic of their choosing to a panel of judges to win a cash prize.

All of the speakers did a fantastic job on the night and the judges had a difficult decision to make.

And the Winner is…..

The winner on the night was Katherine Clarke, Assistant Project Engineer, Network Rail
