Nominations are now open for the 2017 IET Achievement Medals. Who will you nominate?

The IET Achievement Medals recognise exceptional professional achievements and voluntary contributions to the IET. The range of awards covers engineers and technologists at all levels – from dedicated apprentices to influential leaders or researchers. Show a colleague how much you value them and their contribution to the profession and nominate them for a medal. The Medals are international in scope and are awarded by nomination only.

Do you know somebody who you would like to nominate for one of these awards?  The IET Prestige Medals consist of the
Faraday Medal, the Mountbatten Medal, the Mensforth Manufacturing Gold Medal and the JJ Thomson Medal for Electronics.  There are also up to five Achievement Medals available to individuals who have made major and distinguished contributions in the various sectors of engineering, technology or applied science, as well as the IET Volunteer medal awarded for major and outstanding contributions voluntarily given to furthering the aims of the IET.
In 2016 the IET Volunteer Medal went to Dr Ian Belger, a Professional Review Interviewer and Professional Registration Advisor for the IET Mersey and Western Cheshire Network. Ian is also a member of the IET Volunteer Support Working Party. He was recognised at this year’s IET Achievement Awards for his pivotal role in supporting the Big Bang Science fairs since they began in 2009 and for his work to reinvigorate the profile of his Local Network and its contribution to the IET. Could someone from your network be the 2017 winner?
