IET Career Manager is our online professional development planning and recording tool.
IET Career Manager is very intuitive to use and training isn’t necessary in order to use it. However, to help you use the tool to its full potential we provide regular online webinar training sessions on various areas of the tool’s functionality and provide an opportunity to ask questions. Each webinar lasts approximately one hour.

Using IET Career Manager for Initial Professional Development (IPD)
If you are graduate engineer or working towards professional registration, this session includes:

- Competence assessments
- Archived assessments and verification
- IPD reporting
Using IET Career Manager for Professional Registration
If you are starting to or are in the process of completing your professional registration application via IET Career Manager and would like some guidance, this session will be perfect for you. This session includes:
- Registration checklist
- Employment information
- Document uploads
- Panelling and sectors
- Validation
Please note that the webinar will not provide guidance on the evidence or content of your application, but will show you how to use the tool to create your application. Using IET Career Manager for Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
If you are using IET Career Manager to record your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), this session includes:
- How to record your CPD effectively;
- CPD Activities;
- CPD reporting;
- The IET's CPD opt-in monitoring scheme.
IET Career Manager webinars are free of charge and can be accessed anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Access the webinars from your PC in the office, at home or on the go by downloading the Adobe Connect app on your mobile device (iOS and Android).
