The third Industrial Engineering & Management conference was successfully held on the 5th and 6th December at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine in the Engineering faculty. This prestigeous two day seminar was made possible in part by the generous sponsorship by the IET and it enabled several participants to present their academic papers on a variety of topics.

Professor Brian Copeland, Dean of Engineering, opened the conference with a focus on the wealth generation model.
The audience were enthralled by the recollections and accomplishments by Professor Emeritus Winston A. Mellows.
Dr. Haydn Furlonge expressed the importance of project engineering and management in the development of a sustainable world.
Various participants presented their research and findings into a variety of topics.

The members of the audience were engaged with a panel discussion on the challenges of project engineering and management in a sustainable world with Professor Winston Mellowes, Professor Joesph Ssegawa, Professor Edwin Ekwue, Dr. Graham King and Dr. Ruel Ellis. The panel was moderated by Professor Kit Fai Pun.
