This could not have been successfully implemented without the support of Mariella Pilgrim, Faculty Liaison Librarian - Engineering.
The display officially ran from the 11th to the 18th April. As a result of the positive feedback from the librarians about the interest shown by members of the engineering faculty as well as students, they suggested that material be provided for other areas within the engineering section.

Mariella was also impressed with the IET's focus on Women in Engineering and was pleased to receive the IET Women's Network Women in Engineering poster that depicted their contributions to engineering and technology as well as their accomplishments, throughout history. She made a special mention that this will be kept as a permanent display in the library and moved to various locations to increase students' awareness.
It was also clearly noted by Mariella, that this was the first time that the IET had a display in the libaray and it was recommended that we continue this approach, especially in the upcoming 2015/2016 regsitration period in September, known as UWI Open Day.
This suggestion is very poignant given the recent renweal of the Electrical and Computer Engineering degree by the IET as well as the current advertised MASc programmes, in the department, which highlights that they are accredited by the IET.
Special thanks must be made to Anthony and Gerald, who were instrumental in setting up the display on the Friday.
The view of the display as students approach and enter the Engineering section was ideal to convey the importance of the IET and its relationship with UWI.
