Over 300 volunteers from across the IET and around the world attended the IET Global Volunteers Conference 2016 at IET London: Savoy Place, to share ideas and learn from each other. It was a great opportunity for delegates to gain insight on how to implement the IET’s strategy, improve volunteer engagement of members and develop “one-team” working across the IET (#IETOneTeam).

The conference actually combined six volunteering events into one week to coincide with the Members Annual Information Event (16 June, available on IET.TV).  Other events included Registration and Standards Training, Mentor Training, Communities Volunteer Conference (CVC), Education Volunteers, Council, and the Young Professionals Community Volunteering Conference, culminating in a plenary session on Friday, 17 June, to bring everyone together from these other events.  The conference provided CPD hours for all volunteer members attending the conference.
