Information Days of IVE(TY) were organized on 28th and 29th November 2014, a booth for promoting the Institution Engineering and Technology, helping to build a professional image among our tertiary education students, was set up by IET Hong Kong YMS SS(SD). Students were surprised to find that IET Hong Kong is of such a large scale and would organize various and constructive events with them as our targets.
On 16 December 2014, workshop of “Learning to Use Your Behavioral Style – DISC ” was held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University lecture room BC201.
Sspeaker: Dr. CHAN S.K. Toby, has extensive knowledge and wide expertise in occupational psychology areas. The workshop was very useful and inspiring for future personal development of the members and most of them enjoyed the interactions with the speaker during the event.
IET Hong Kong YMS SS(SD) have organized several in-class promotion for different courses, including Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications and Networking. Nine classes for Electrical Engineering students in November 2014 and three classes for Telecommunications and Networking students in December 2014. One of the most important message to be delivered to the students is that current engineering students from various discipline are welcomed to join us as our committee members.
